NONGQYI Museum Village is
undergoing major changes
with renovations and new
displays at the Fort,
levelling and paving the
parking area and the opening
of a larger curio shop.
‘Crafts of Africa’ has
replaced the old craft shop,
which was situated in Fort
Nongqayi.
The shop has now been moved
to a new building adjoining
the Adam’s Outpost
Restaurant. The craft shop
is also serving as the
reception for the village
and is manned by Gertrude
Sanders.
Stock is obtained from
crafters and it is envisaged
that some of the crafters
will make their goods at the
curio shop.
